The birds shown in this section are just a small number of all the species you might see on the Trail. They include, among others, the tui, wood pigeon, bellbird, kaka, blue heron, white heron, spoonbill, kingfisher, pied stilts, fantail, chaffinch, yellow hammer, welcome swallow, goldfinch, oyster catcher, dotteral, and shag
