Customers Help Trail Fund

Customers at Pauanui's Supervalue Supermarket raised almost $300 for the Pauanui to Tairua Trail over Labour Weekend.

The supermarket asked customers if they wished to round up their purchase prices and the difference was given to the Trail fund.

Close to  $250 was raised this way and the Supermarket made up the difference to bring the figure to $300.

Trail  boss Gary Fowler said he was delighted by the effort and thanked the supermarket owners for their effort and contribution.

"While the Pauanui to Duck Creek section Trail is up and running there is still a need for money," he said.

"This donation is much appreciated."
