Ready to ride! Mark Hadlow in a scene from MAMIL Award winning actor Mark Hadlow is coming to Pauanui to stage charity performances of his one-man show MAMIL.
The show has been a nation-wide hit. Monies from the Pauanui shows will go to the Pauanui to Tairua Trail. Pauanuians have been mystified by posters in the district that show Hadlow and ask "Why is this man coming to Pauanui?" The answer is to stage his show. The Pauanui Club and the Trail committee have joined forces to bring the show to town over the Christmas period. It will be staged at the Club's recreation centre on December 27, 28 and 29. Start time is 7.30pm. If there is a strong demand for tickets the season will be extended by a day. The hilarious one man show tells the story of a successful businessman who suffers a mid-life crisis and finds help by joining a cycle group. Hence the name which means middle aged man in lycra. Hadlow says he is delighted to be coming to Pauanui. "This is a show holidaying folk will enjoy," he said. The show is part of the Pauanui Summer Series. Club Manager Gary Smith says the Club is pleased to be associated with the show. "We are looking at arrangements so that show patrons canb come into the Club and have a drink and perhaps a meal before or after the show," he said. Organisers say the show has coarse language and adult themes. Tickets are $35 each and can be purchased from the Club or online by going to the Club's website [email protected] Tickets can also be purchased by mail. Send your cheque and include a stamped envelope with your address on it to MAMIL, P.O. Box 65 Pauanui Beach, 3546. There is a ticket discount of $5 for all tickets purchased before Frioday, December 11. Comments are closed.
